SonarBell® Technology Advances
Whilst the SonarBell® is available off the shelf in an increasing range of sizes and frequencies SALT Ltd continues to develop new product formats and ideas.
- SALT Ltd is working on creating new SonarBell® shapes and mountings for release in 2012 to enhance the applicability of the technology to pipeline and cable marking.
- SonarBell® works by producing a simple initial reflection and a strong focused return; the two are separated by a time interval which is a function of the size of the SonarBell®. This double echo provides the potential to deliver a passive asset intelligent labelling or bar code system when used in conjunction with suitably enabled sonar. We hope to release the first of these systems during 2012.
